This Cookie Policy explains how Sillion B.V. (“Equine Notion”) uses cookies and similar technologies on equinenotion.com, in accordance with the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC and the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet).
1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They serve various purposes including remembering your preferences and enabling core site functionality. We also use your browser’s local storage — a similar technology — to keep a small amount of data on your device, such as your cookie preferences and a first-party analytics identifier.

Analytics
Equine Notion’s analytics are first-party and cookieless by default: a randomly generated identifier is stored in your browser’s local storage (en-analytics-id) and used to measure page visits, time on page, scroll depth, and form interactions (no form field values are ever collected). This identifier is converted server-side into a pseudonymous value using a keyed one-way hash (HMAC-SHA256); your raw identifier and IP address are never stored. If local storage is unavailable, a temporary in-memory identifier is used for the current session and measurement still occurs. You can clear the en-analytics-id entry from your browser’s local storage at any time.
For returning visitors on equinenotion.com, an optional first-party cookie (en_vid) may be used to keep this pseudonymous measurement consistent across visits (“cookie-enhanced” mode). It stores only the pseudonymous hashed identifier — never a raw identifier or your IP address — and is listed in the table below. This analytics operates independently of the cookie preferences below: selecting or clearing the “Analytics” option does not change this measurement.

3. Third-Party Cookies
We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We currently do not use payment-processing cookies for online card checkout. Payments are arranged by bank transfer.
4. Managing Cookies
You can manage your preferences at any time:
- Cookie banner: Clear the “equinenotion-cookie-consent” entry from your browser’s local storage to re-trigger the consent banner.
- Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies via settings. Note that blocking necessary cookies may prevent the site from functioning.
5. Withdrawing Consent
To withdraw cookie consent, delete the “equinenotion-cookie-consent” entry from your browser’s local storage. The consent banner will reappear on your next visit. Your authentication cookies (session and tier) are cleared automatically when you log out.

We may update this policy when introducing new features. Changes will be reflected on this page.
