Refund Policy

Equine Notion — clarity, fairness, and transparency.

1. Scope

This policy applies to all services and digital materials offered by Equine Notion, including:
• The Equine Notion Framework (online program)
• Mentorship Program (individual guidance)
• Field Experience (Markelo, NL)
• On-site Visit (we come to your pasture)
• Circle Membership (annual)

2. Payment & Confirmation

All payments are made by bank transfer (full prepayment). Your enrolment, booking, or seat is confirmed only upon receipt of cleared funds with the correct reference.

3. General Refund Rule

All payments are non-refundable once access to any digital content is granted or a service date is confirmed. Please read each service description carefully before payment.

EU consumer information: For digital content/services supplied upon or after your explicit request to begin performance, the statutory right of withdrawal may no longer apply once delivery begins (Directive 2011/83/EU).

4. Digital Programs (The Equine Notion Framework)

  • Access is provided after payment. From the moment access is granted, the purchase is final and non-refundable.
  • This aligns with EU rules for digital content supplied upon performance start, where the right of withdrawal no longer applies after access is provided.

5. Mentorship Program (Individual Guidance)

  • After your schedule is confirmed, the purchase is non-refundable.
  • One reschedule per participant is possible if requested at least 7 days before the session start, subject to availability.
  • No-shows or late cancellations (< 7 days) are treated as delivered sessions.

6. Field Experience (On-site in Markelo, NL)

  • After dates are confirmed, the purchase is non-refundable.
  • You may transfer your seat to another person by notifying us at least 7 days in advance (name and contact required).
  • In case of severe weather, welfare, safety, or regulatory concerns, Equine Notion may postpone; you will receive a new date (no refund).

7. On-site Visit (Client’s Location)

  • After your visit date is confirmed, the purchase is non-refundable.
  • One reschedule is possible if requested at least 7 days in advance, subject to availability.
  • Client is responsible for site safety, welfare, and any local permits. If safety or welfare concerns arise, we may stop the session; in such cases the session is deemed delivered (no refund).
  • Travel expenses (e.g., tickets, accommodation) already incurred are non-refundable and may be re-invoiced if the client reschedules or cancels.
  • Where applicable, overtime beyond the booked duration is billed as published (e.g., €350/hour excl. VAT).

8. Circle Membership (Annual)

  • Membership fees are non-refundable once the yearly access begins.
  • Memberships are personal and cannot be transferred after activation.

9. Transfers, Chargebacks, and Errors

  • Bank transfer errors or fees are the responsibility of the sender. Please ensure correct IBAN and payment reference.
  • Unauthorized chargebacks/disputes for confirmed services may lead to access suspension until resolved.

10. Dissatisfaction & No-Guarantee Reminder

Our services are educational/philosophical and focus on awareness and coexistence. No specific results are guaranteed, as outcomes depend on many factors (horse history, environment, owner practice, health). Refunds are not provided on the basis of dissatisfaction or unmet expectations.

11. Exceptional Circumstances

If extraordinary events outside your control prevent participation (e.g., serious illness, documented emergencies), contact us with evidence before the start date. While refunds are not offered, we may—at our sole discretion—offer a one-time date change or credit.

14. Governing Law

This policy is governed by Dutch law. Any disputes shall be handled in the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.
